The Moonchild Series was inspired by the lyrics from a song by King Crimson titled Moonchild from Court of the Crimson King.

Call her Moonchild
Dancing in the shadows of a river
Lonely moonchild
Dreaming in the shadow of a willow
Talking to the trees
in a cobweb dream
Sleeping in the steps of a fountain
Waving silver wands
to the night bird song
Waiting for the sun on a mountain
She's a moonchild
Gathering her flowers in a garden
Lovely Moonchild
Drifting in the echoes of the hour
Sailing on the wind
in a milk white gown
Dropping circle stones on a sundial
Playing hide and seek
with the ghosts of dawn
Waiting for the smile of a sunchild.
